In an effort to revive and mobilise the country's tourism industry, a premier travel trade publication, The Bangladesh Monitor will hold the 17th edition of Dhaka Travel Mart (DTM) in the capital on 10 March 2022.

The international tourism fair will take place from 10-12 March at the ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, said a press release.

About the fair, Kazi Wahidul Alam, editor of The Bangladesh Monitor said, "Tourism worldwide has been distressed by the coronavirus pandemic. Like other countries, Bangladesh also should take steps to regain from the crisis immediately"

Wahidul Alam hoped, various local and international tourism organisations will participate in the fair.

Local and international tour operators as well as representatives of several national and foreign tourism bodies will participate in the fair.

Through discussions, they will increase cooperation among each other to bolster the regional tourism industry.

The Bangladesh Monitor organised first international Dhaka Travel Mart in 2002.

Since then, the premier tourism publication has been holding the fair every year only except in 2020 due to coronavirus concerns. More information regarding the fair will be available at www.dhakatravelmart.net
