Rear Admiral M Shahjahan appointed as chairman of CPA

Rear Admiral M Shahjahan has been appointed as the Chairman of Chattogram Port Authority (CPA).
The matter was confirmed via a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday.
Rear Admiral M Shahjahan is currently serving as the Chairman of the Mongla Port Authority.
The notification stated that SM Abul Kalam Azad, the current chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority, has been assigned to the Armed Forces Division to facilitate his return to the Bangladesh Navy.
The notification also stated that Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa has been appointed as the Chairman of Mongla Port.
Speaking about the newly appoint CPA chairman, Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad said, "I am proud that the head of the state has placed her trust in me during these difficult times to run the country's major seaport."
"I believe that they will support the new chairman in the same way that they supported me," added Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad
