An unidentified man was killed and 30 were injured after a Dhaka-bound bus plunged into a roadside ditch besides Saidpur-Dhaka highway in Gangahari area

An unidentified man was killed and 30 were injured after a Dhaka-bound bus plunged into a roadside ditch besides Saidpur-Dhaka highway in Gangahari area under Rangpur’s Hajirhat upazila on Friday night.     

The accident took place as the bus driver lost control over its steering, leaving more than a dozen passengers injured, said Mostafizar Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hajirhat Police Station.    

On information, police and fire service officials rushed to the spot and sent the injured to the Rangpur Medical College Hospital where doctor declared one dead.
