The residents of Dhaka have witnessed rainfall for a second consecutive day. There was no gusty wind, unlike the previous day, but residents of the Mirpur area experienced a hailstorm.

"We have no information about the hailstorm," said Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

"It was a normal rainstorm and we recorded around 13 millimetres of rainfall," he added.

Talking with The Business Standard, Arif Ajmal, a resident of Mirpur, said, the rainfall lasted for about half an hour – and hailstorm for around 10 minutes – in the area, in the afternoon.

Earlier in the morning, the Met office, in its forecast, had that there was a possibility of a thunderstorm with gusty wind in Dhaka.

The forecast also mentioned that rain or thundershowers may continue. The temperature may rise slightly during the day while night temperatures may fall slightly.
