2 railway officials suspended over mismanagement in Ctg station

Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan has reacted angrily over mismanagement at the Chattogram Railway Station and temporarily suspended two officials of the station.

The suspended officials are Divisional Railway Manager (Eastern Railway) M Shams Mohammad Tushar and Station Manager Ratan Kumar Chowdhury.

The minister visited the site of the proposed multi-storey building of the Railway Employees Welfare Trust at the old railway station of the city around 12:30pm on Saturday and found dirt, garbage, rubbish all over, vehicles parked here and there and shops set up in front of the railway station.

After the inspection, the minister called for a meeting with officials in the Central Railway Building conference room where the suspended officers were not present. At the meeting, he said, "Those expelled today should not come to the office."
