RAB fines 24 people, 2 institutions in Dhaka
A mobile court fined the two companies with Tk2,75,000 for manufacturing fake and substandard facemasks. The 24 people were fined with Tk52,000 for rounding on the streets with private cars without any valid reasons.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) -10 on Sunday fined two companies and 24 people while conducting a mobile court in the capital's Mitford and Nayabazar areas.
The mobile court led by RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam fined the two companies with Tk2,75,000 for manufacturing fake and low-quality facemasks.
The law enforcers also fined 24 people with Tk52,000 for rounding on the streets with private cars without any valid reasons.
Sarwar Alam confirmed the matter to The Business Standard on Sunday.
