Four militants have surrendered after a team of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) cordoned off a suspected hideout in Ukilpara area of ​​Sirajganj's Shahjadpur.

The house was cordoned off in the early hours of Friday. After 10:30am, four of them left the house and surrendered to RAB, reports Somoy News.

Criminals fired shots from inside the house sensing the presence of law enforcement.

According to RAB sources, one of the surrendered persons is the regional head of Pabna-Sirajganj Jamat-ul-Mujaheedin of Bangladesh (JMB).

A special team of RAB joined from Dhaka to make the operation successful.

According to RAB sources, the details of the incident will be informed to the media through a press briefing at the end of the operation.
