Bangabandhu's decision was to ensure proper management of factories and professional protection of working people, he added.

Inspired by the ideology of Bangabandhu, the present government is implementing various programmes to ensure occupational health and safety of all working people of the country, he added.

He urged all concerned to maintain health rules not only to get rid of the coronavirus but also to ensure the overall safety of the workers.

The Awami League led government has been implementing various massive programmers to develop the living standard of workers to ensure congenial work environment and health safety at workplaces.

Inspired by the ideology of Bangabandhu, she mentioned a number of steps have taken by her government for the welfare of the workers, including, formulating "National Occupational Health and Safety Policy 2013" and "Bangladesh Labour Rules 2015".

She said the Awami League government is relentlessly working towards the goals of making Bangladesh a middle-income country by 2021 and a developed and prosperous country by 2041.

There is no alternative but to create awareness among the people at all levels about occupational health and safety to achieve those goals, she added.
