President inaugurates Radar unit and Helicopter Simulator Training Institute in Barishal

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc received the President through VTC from BAF Barishal Radar Unit.

President Abdul Hamid inaugurated the Barisal Radar Unit and Helicopter Simulator Training Institute of Bangladesh Air Force as the chief guest through video teleconference (VTC) on Monday.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc received the President through VTC from BAF Barishal Radar Unit.

Mentioning the contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, for the development of BAF, the president said, his successor Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is also working for the development of this force, adding new installations and equipment, just one of them.

President Hamid hoped that the newly incorporated Radar will be able to provide the right direction to identify aircraft within the airspace of Bangladesh and play an important role in their movement.

Praying prosperity to the BAF he said, after the instalment of the new Radar unit and Helicopter, the cost of the flying training will be reduced remarkably and BAF Pilots can perform a very important part of their flying training.

Senior military and civil high officials were also present on the occasion.
