‘Porichchonnotar Ongikar’ 2nd phase kicks off in Hajiganj, Chandpur tomorrow

The campaign aims at creating a healthy, beautiful and clean Bangladesh for future generations by creating awareness among the people 

To build a healthy and beautiful country, Bangladesh Scouts and Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh jointly running a nationwide campaign titled 'Porichhonnotar Ongikar' (Promise of cleanliness), says a press release. 

The second phase of the campaign will begin on January 31 in Chandpur district. Aiming to spread the awareness about cleanliness among the people of the country, the campaign will commence Hajiganj Bazar and Bakila Bazar of Hajiganj Upazila as well as Chandpur Municipality Bus Terminal, Kali Bari crossing and Palbazar Gate area on February 1.

The key purpose of this campaign is to create a healthy, beautiful and clean Bangladesh for future generations by creating awareness among the people, and making them committed to cleanliness. 

It will generate awareness about the significance of personal and social cleanliness, hand hygiene, environmental hygiene and safe sanitation.

Earlier, in the first phase of the campaign, around 2500 scout members played roles in 25 significant points of Dhaka city to spread the message of cleanliness and about five hundred adolescents from Bangladesh Scouts will participate in the second phase.  

The National Commission for Bangladesh Scouts (Social Development and Health) and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Md  Shah Kamal will be present as the chief guest, and National Deputy Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts (Social Development and Health) Department and Director General of the Department of Primary Education Md Fusiullah, alongside Md Hemayat Hossain, National Deputy Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts (Social Development and Health) Division and Regional Executive Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation will be present as special guests. Mohammad Salauddin Ahmed Tarek, Chief Coordinator of 'Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh' and Md. Rakib Uddin will also be present during the campaign.

Notably, Bangladesh Scouts and Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh started their campaign on "Porichchonnotar Ongikar" on September 3, 2019 in the capital.
