Polythene factory gutted in Lalbagh fire
On information, 16 fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
A polythene factory was gutted in a fire that broke out in the city’s Lalbagh area on Wednesday night.
Ershad Hossain, duty officer at Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, said the fire originated at the polythene factory in front of Posta Police Outpost around 10:40pm.
On information, 16 fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after more than two hours of frantic efforts. The firefighters were engaged in dumping process till filing of this report at about 1:30 am.
It could not be known immediately how the fire broke out at the factory, said Ershad, adding that no casualty was reported.
