AL, Jatiya Party will work separately for fair elections: Nanak

The meeting ended after 10 pm on Wednesday at Hotel Renaissance in Gulshan-1 of the capital.

The Awami League and the Jatiya Party will work separately from their respective positions towards a fair election, Awami League praesidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak said today after a meeting between the leaders of the two parties.

He also said fruitful discussions have been held with the Jatiya Party regarding the national elections.

However, the AL leader said the meeting did not discuss seat sharing between the parties in the 12th Jatiya Sangsad polls. 

The meeting ended after 10 pm on Wednesday in a Gulshan hotel in Dhaka.

Awami League's General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Organising Secretary Mirza Azam, Joint General Secretary Bahauddin Nasim and Jatiya Party secretary general Mujibul Haque Chunnu were also present in the meeting.
