Anti-rape protest: Police to hold nationwide rallies Saturday

Bangladesh Police will hold nationwide rallies on Saturday to raise awareness about rape and violence against women.

The rallies will be organised in 6,912 beat policing areas across the country.

The anti-rape and anti-violence rallies will start at 10am on Saturday maintaining health safety rules and social distancing.

Police Headquarters Assistant Inspector General (Media) Md Sohel Rana said this in a press release issued on Friday.

Many people, including, women, public representatives, teachers, and imams of mosques will attend the gatherings.

Calling on people to step forward, the participants will display anti-rape and anti-violence against women posters, leaflets and placards.

Each rally will be broadcast live on Facebook.
