To prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the authorities concerned are requested to postpone all the programmes of Bengali New Year- 1427

The government has instructed the authorities concerned to postpone all the programmes of Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year) to avoid mass gatherings aiming to contain the spread of coronavirus.

In this regard, the Cabinet Division today issued a circular signed by its deputy secretary Mohammad Abdul Wadud Chowdhury.

To prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the authorities concerned are requested to postpone all the programmes of Bengali New Year- 1427, including the programmes of Chittagong Hill Tracts), to avoid public gatherings, the circular read.
