PM submits income tax return in Tax Fair

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today submitted her income tax return of fiscal 2019-20 at the ongoing Tax Fair- 2019.
Siddqiur Hossain Chowdhury submitted the taxes on behalf of the prime minister. However, the amount has not been disclosed.
Finance Minister Mustafa Kamal has also paid his taxes at the fair. The minister and his family paid a total of Tk7.06 crore.
The 10th edition of the week-long Income Tax Fair began on Thursday in a bid to create massive awareness among people on taxes as well as render tax-related services.
The fair will continue in all the divisional cities, including the capital till November 20. The fair in the capital is being held at the Officers' Club Premises.
The slogan of this edition of the fair is "Sobai Mile Dibo Kor, Desh Hobe Swanirbhor" (We all will pay taxes, the country will be self-sufficient) while the theme of the fair has been set as "Voluntary participation in paying taxes, implementation of vision is ensured".
