PM Hasina sends emergency medicines to Bhutan
A press release from the PM’s office said that the medicines were sent as a gesture of good will in view of the historically excellent relations with Bhutan
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sent emergency medicines to Bhutan on Thursday to help them out with tackling the deadly COVID-19 virus.
A press release issued from the PM's office stated that the prime minister sent the medicines from her Relief and Welfare Fund at the request of the King of Bhutan.
"The medicines were sent as a gesture of good will in view of the historically excellent relations with Bhutan", the press release said.
"The medicines include 10 lakh units of the multi-vitamin Bextram Gold and 5 lakh units of Vitamin C Ceevit. The first consignment of the medicines has already left for Bhutan," The press release added.
It was mentioned that Bangladesh had earlier sent emergency medical equipment to Bhutan including hand sanitisers.
