PM Hasina expresses condolence over Air India flight crash in Kerala

Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed condolences on the Air India Express plane crash in Kerala, India. 

"I am shocked and saddened to receive news of the plane crash in Kozhikode, Kerala," she wrote in a message to her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

"On behalf of the people and the government of Bangladesh, I express my deep condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones in this tragic accident," the message further read. 

The Air India Express plane that crash-landed on August 7 mostly carried Indian nationals as part of the country's Vande Bharat Mission to evacuate Indian nationals stranded abroad due to Covid-19 pandemic.
