Prime Minister said Bangladesh has adopted a ‘zero-tolerance policy’ against terrorism and militancy

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has strongly condemned Friday's London Bridge attack that left two dead and three injured.

In a message to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the casualties and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.

She also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the attack, said the PMO Press Wing here on Sunday.

Reaffirming her government's stance against terrorism, the Prime Minister said Bangladesh has adopted a 'zero-tolerance policy' against terrorism and militancy. "Militants and terrorists have no religion," she added.

Sheikh Hasina reiterated her conviction to work closely together with the international community, including the British government, to fight militancy and terrorism.

On Friday, two people were killed and three injured as a knife attacker went on a rampage on London Bridge.

Police later shot the attacker dead.
