PKSF Development Fair to kick off Thursday

A week-day fair titled ' PKSF Development Fair-2019' will kick off in Dhaka city on Thursday (November14) showcasing the products of PKSF programme participants.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the fair at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will preside over the inaugural function as a special guest. 

Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) will arrange the fair with a view to pulling participants of PKSF's projects out of poverty. 

PKSF chairman Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad and managing director Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah made the announcement at a press conference held at the national press club on Monday (November 11). 

PKSF's deputy managing directors Dr Md Jasim Uddin and Golam Towhid along with senior editorial adviser Professor Shafi Ahmed were also present at the event. 

At the innaugural function, a distinguished individual will be honored in recognition of his /her contribution in poverty eradication, sustainable development and human dignity. 

During the seven-day event, seminars will be held every day focusing on important issues. 

Ministers from different ministries, members of the parliament, secretaries, policymakers, economists, development and social workers, researchers and academicians will partake in the seminars. 

A total of 130 organizations, including small public and private manufacturers of remote areas, research organisations and IT institutions will participate in the fair. There will be 190 stalls.

The fair will remain open from 10am and continue till 8:30 pm every day.
