Physically challenged girl raped in Barishal

Police have arrested a youth for allegedly helping his friend rape a 14-year-old physically challenged girl in Babuganj upazila of Barisha.
The arrestee is Md Suman, 16. Prime accused Md Rimon, 15, is still on the run.
Suman used to live at a relative's house at Khudrokathi village where Rimon was a frequent visitor.
Luring her with money, the duo on Friday took the girl to the house where Sumon resides.
Rimon allegedly raped her while Sumon kept vigilant outside.
The girl felt sick as bleeding started after she went to her house nearby.
On the same night, the victim's mother filed a case against the duo with Babuganj Police Station.
Talking to The Business Standard, Babuganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Mizanur Rahman said police arrested Sumon after the case was filed and were trying to arrest Rimon.
The victim has been taken to the Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for medical tests, added the police official.
