Parvez Ahmed Rony, a young photographer, has hosted a solo photo exhibition at the residence of Feleni in Nageshwari of Kurigram, to mark 10-year anniversary of the gruesome murder.

On 7 January of 2011, the young Bangladeshi girl was brutally murdered along the Kurigram border by members of India's Border Security Force (BSF). Later, she was found hanging on the barbed wire of Bangladesh-India border.

The incident drew a huge outcry in home and abroad. Although ten years have elapsed since the grisly murder, justice is yet to be served in the incident.

The irony is that the number of border killings has scaled up in the country throughout the last decade.

A press release issued over the photo exhibition said a total of 1236 Bangladeshis were killed by the BSF members along the border in the last two decades.

Protesting against the border killings, specially Felani murder, Parvez Rony organised the photo exhibition at the yard of  Felani's residence, featuring a collection of photographs captured at different times since 2012.
