Perform duties sincerely to achieve APA target: IGP
The chief of police also thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for launching such a programme to ensure accountability in the democratic state system

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Benazir Ahmed BPM (Bar) has signed the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) with the heads of 36 specialised and range units of Bangladesh Police.
The APA for the Fiscal Year 2020-21 was signed at the conference room "Shapla" of Police Headquarters on Sunday afternoon.
The IGP said that the APA, National Integrity Strategy, etc. are important aspects of the modern state system. He also thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for launching such a programme to ensure accountability in the democratic state system.
The chief of police called upon all police officers to perform their duties sincerely with professionalism in achieving the APA target.
Thanking everyone for making Bangladesh Police the first among the departments under the Public Security Division of the Home Ministry in the last two years, the IGP said that this trend of success should continue in the future as well.
The APA was signed with Special Branch (SB), Industrial Police (IP), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Telecommunication and Information Management (T&IM), APBN, Police Staff College (PSC), RAB, CID, Anti-Terrorism Unit, IT, PBI, Central Police Hospital (CPH), Traffic Driving School (TDS), Dhaka Range, Tourist Police and other units.
At present, the APA has been extended to the police station level.
Bangladesh Police received 95 percent mark in FY2017-18 and 98 percent marks in FY2018-19, and won the first place among the offices of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs twice in a row.
