Over 100 pirates to surrender in Cox’s Bazar

More than one hundred members of several pirate gangs will surrender to law enforcers on Saturday in Maheshkhali upazila of Cox's Bazar. 

The programme will be held on Kalarmarchora Union Parishad ground of the upazila. 

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal is expected to be present at the programme as the chief guest and Inspector General of Police Mohammad Javed Patwary as the special guest.

On October 20 in 2018, a total of 43 pirates surrendered in the upazila at a rally organised by the Rapid Action Battalion.
