A 14-year-old boy was killed and two more injured in a clash between two teen-gangs in the capital's Sutrapur area around 11:30 pm on Monday.

The deceased is Ananta who had several stab wounds on his body.

Two injured named Saju and Sohail were undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), reports Prothom Alo.

DMCH police outpost's Sub-inspector (SI) Mohammad Khan said "Ananta was killed due to a dispute between two teen-gangs. Police have not arrested anyone yet in this regard."

Saju, one of the injured teens, said, "A group is active in the Mill Barrack area under the shelter of two identified terrorists. A few days ago, Ananta and his friends had a dispute with the group."

On Monday around 10.30 pm, these two groups clashed with each other at the Mill Barrack Lalkuthi Ghat area.

Ananta was stabbed several times in the stomach during the clash. Later, he was rushed to DMCH where the doctor in-charge declared him dead.

Ananta, hailing from Kazitola, was a ninth-grader at the local Jubilee School. His father works at a shop in Banglabazar.
