Oman has recently suspended travel from Bangladesh until further notice to curb the spread of Covid-19.

It also barred flights from India and Pakistan.

The decision, effective from Saturday, was taken by the Oman Supreme Committee, reports Khaleej Times citing Oman News Agency.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the committee banned passengers travelling from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan or transiting through these three countries during the last 14 days.

Bangladesh Friday reported 88 more deaths from Covid-19, pushing the death count to 10,869 in the country.
