Rokeya Bosunia, wife of eminent civil engineer and educationist Prof Dr Shamim Z Bosunia passed away. She was 73.
After prolonged illness, she passed away on Wednesday morning at a local hospital after a cardiac arrest, her family said.
Born in Barishal, Rokeya was a former teacher of Udayan Uchcha Madhyamik Bidyalaya, and Past President, Rotary Club of Dhaka Urbana, and Life and Platinum Member of Bangladesh Scouts.
She is survived by her only son, grandchildren and a host of relatives.
