Mohd Selim, sponsor director and vice chairman of Mercantile Bank, passed away on Friday 2pm at Anwer Khan Modern Hospital in Dhaka.

He was 68 years old and suffering from various diseases. Selim left behind a wife, three sons and one daughter.

Two Namaz-e-Janazas were held for him in the capital's Eskaton Plaza Market and Paribagh after the Asr prayers.

Selim will be buried at his family graveyard in his village at Damudhya upazila, Shariatpur after a third Namaz-e-Janaza.

The board of directors, executives, officers and employees of the Mercantile Bank Ltd mourned the sad demise of the vice chairman.
