Former chairman of EBL NH Khan passes away

Nurul Husain Khan, the first chairman of Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL), has died at his residence in Gulshan area of the capital cilty on Wednesday. He was 85.

He had served as the chairman of   EBL Board for long eight years from 1992 to 2000.

Khan also served as the chairman of NBR, secretary of Internal Resources Division, and member of the board of governors of North South University.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, a son, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Following his Namaz-e-janaza at Azad Mosque of Gulshan, NH Khan has been buried at Banani Graveyard on Thursday noon.
