Professor Dr Md Tahir, former vice-chancellor (VC) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU), has passed away today.
"He died of a cardiac arrest at 8am this morning at Labaid Specialized Hospital," said BSMMU Public Relation Officer Prashant Majumder.
Incumbent Vice Chancellor of BSMMU Professor Kanak Kanti Barua has mourned his death.
