Abdul Mannan, director of Agrani Bank Limited, passed away at a hospital in Dhaka early on Tuesday. He was 70.

He breathed his last at 1:00am at Square Hospital while undergoing treatment, read a press release.

Mannan was also an advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court and former District and Sessions Judge.

He left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.

After namaz-e-janaza, he was laid to rest at his village home at Kamargaon upazila of Munshiganj.

The board of directors, the management, executives, officers and staff of the bank expressed the profound shock at the sad demise of Abdul Mannan.

They also prayed for peace and salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

A doa mahfil was held at Agrani Bank Head Office mosque after Zuhr prayer.
