No programme in open space on Victory Day: Home minister
The month of victory, December, the most glorious period in the history of Bangladesh, has begun today
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Tuesday urged not to organise any programme in open space on this year's Victory Day due to coronavirus situation.
The minister on Tuesday made the remark after an inter-ministerial virtual meeting to take security measures for the smooth implementation of the national program adopted by the Ministry of Liberation War to celebrate the Victory Day with due dignity.

The Minister further said that various decisions have been taken in the meeting to carry out programmes on the occasion of Victory Day with due dignity.
"Those who want to do indoor events on the Victory Day, they can do so by following the hygiene rules. But the law enforcement has to be informed about that first so that our security forces can carry out security responsibilities from their side," he added.
Earlier, on 22 November, considering the coronavirus situation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina instructed us not to hold a Victory Day Parade this year.
Exhibitions will be held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on the occasion; virtual discussions will also be arranged marking the day, according to ministry sources.
