Nirmal, Babu to head Swechchhasebak League

Nirmal Ranjan Guha and Afzal Babu have been elected president and general secretary of Swechchhasebak League, the volunteer wing of the ruling Awami League.
Ishak Miah has also been elected president and Anisur Rahman Nayeem general secretary of Dhaka North unit of the organisation.
Kamrul Hasan Ripon and Tarek Sayeed have been elected president and general secretary of Swechchhasebak League's Dhaka South unit.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday announced the names of the new leaders after the Swechchhasebak League's third national council at the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh in the capital.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the council of the volunteer wing of the Bangladesh Awami League.
