Nine new High Court judges take oath

Nine newly appointed judges of the High Court took oath today morning.

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain administered the oath at the Judges' Lounge of the Supreme Court.

On October 20, President Abdul Hamid appointed nine additional judges to the High Court Division.

The judges are: Deputy Attorney General Kazi Ebadat Hossain, Deputy Attorney General KM Zahid Sarwar Kajal, Deputy Attorney General Zinat Haque, Supreme Court Registrar General (Senior District Judge) Dr Zakir Hossain, District Judge (Enjoying LPR) Shahed Nur Uddin, District Judge Dr Akhtaruzzaman, former deputy attorney general AKM Zahirul Haque, Supreme Court lawyer Mahmud Hasan Talukder and District Judge (Enjoying LPR) Mahbub-ul-Islam.

Law Ministry issued a gazette notification on their appointment.
