Newly appointed ambassador to Germany calls on speaker

The Newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to Germany M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan today paid a virtual courtesy call on Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury.

During the meeting, they discussed mutual trade and commerce and increasing German investment in the country, as well as improving relations between the two countries through the Parliamentary Friendship Group, said a press release.

The Speaker said that as Germany is a big country in the European Union, the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Commerce have to work together to expand trade between Bangladesh and Germany and increase German investment in the country. In this case, the parliamentary alliance group can play an important role.

M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan expressed hope that he would continue to work for the expansion of trade between both the countries.

The Speaker assured him of overall cooperation through the Standing Committee and the Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Meanwhile, the Speaker wished the newly appointed Ambassador Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan a success during his duties in Germany.
