Social Welfare Secretary of Dhaka University Central Students' Union Akter Hossain read out a written statement and announced the formation of the new front.
The 12 organisations are Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrakkhan Parishad, Bangladesh Chhatra Union, Bangladesh Chhatra Federation (Gonosonghoti Andolon), Bangladesh Chhatra Federation (Badruddin Omar), Somajtantrik Chhatra Front (Basod), Somajtantrik Chhatra Front (Marxist), Biplobi Chhatra Moitree, Biplobi Chhatra-Jubo Andolon, Greater Parbotya Chattogram Pahari Chhatra Parishad, Nagorik Chhatra Oikya, Swotontro Jote and Chhatra Gonomancha.
