National Defence College reunion held

National Defence College (NDC) of Bangladesh celebrated it's 2nd Grand Reunion 2020 on Saturday at the NDC premises in Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka.

Paying tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the martyrs and freedom fighters of the Liberation War, the president said the NDC reunion added a special flavor and festivity at the very onset of celebrating the "Mujib Year", the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation.
The president also praised the NDC as the premier national educational Institution for leadership, defence, security, strategy and development studies.
In his welcome address, Commandant of the NDC Lieutenant General Sheikh Mamun Khaled greeted all the guests and expressed his gratitude to the president for gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
He proudly announced that the NDC has come a long way to become a center of excellence on leadership, defence, national security, strategy and development studies to meet the challenges of 21st century.
He also expressed his profound gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her unbound and unconditional support for the NDC.
The commandant of the NDC acknowledged the dedication and commitment of the NDC alumni in realising the vision of the prime minister and congratulated them for their professional achievement in their respective fields at home and abroad.
Among others, Security Adviser to the prime minister Major General Tarique Ahmed Siddique (Retd), ministers, chief of naval staff, chief of air staff and many other senior military and civil service officers attended the program.
