The Election Commission (EC) has filed a case against Faridpur-4 MP Mujibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury for violating the Upazila Parishad (Election Code of Conduct) Rule 2016.

On Wednesday, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda talked about filling the case against him.

Earlier, the Cabinet Division sent a letter to EC requesting to take legal action against MP Nixon Chowdhury for misbehaving with deputy commissioner (DC) and local administration officials including the UNO.

Tawhid Ilahi, senior assistant secretary of the Cabinet Division, filed the complaint to the Election Commission secretary on Monday demanding action against MP Nixon Chowdhury, Upazila Chairman Mohammad Kauser and their supporters over the violation.
