MP Ataur Rahman Khan airlifted to Dhaka

Tangail 3 constituency Awami League MP Ataur Rahman Khan was airlifted to Dhaka on Friday night in critical condition.

Sujauddin Talukder, a specialist in medicine at Tangail General Hospital, said, "They examined Ataur Rahman Khan after he fell ill on Friday morning. Various complications are seen in Ataur Rahman including heart disease, low salinity in the blood, abdominal pain. Later, he was taken to Dhaka for advanced treatment."

Tangail Superintendent of Police Sanjit Kumar Roy said an "An Air Force helicopter came from Dhaka and took away MP Ataur Rahman Khan at around 7:45pm.

"The helicopter carrying Ataur Rahman Khan landed in Dhaka at 8:07pm. He has been taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital," a press release of the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate said.

Ataur Rahman Khan, former deputy general manager of Sonali Bank, was elected as an MP in the 2018 elections after getting Awami League's nomination.
