Motorbikes to be used for spraying mosquito medicines: Atiqul

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam on Wednesday said they will soon start spraying mosquito medicines through motorbike to speed up the process to destroy Aedes larvae.
“Mosquito-killing equipment have been set up with motorbikes to spray insecticide in a large area within a short time,” he said.
The mayor came up with the remark at a programme at Gulshan-2 to raise awareness about dengue. Students of different schools and colleges attended the event.
Local Government Division Minister Md Tajul Islam was also present.
Atiqul said the DNCC is going to introduce modern and automatic equipment to destroy mosquitoes coming out of the existing traditional system.
He also said the manpower for spraying mosquito-killing insecticide has already been increased to double at each ward under their city corporation to hasten the anti-mosquito drives.
