Missing Ideal College student’s body recovered from Bandarban waterfall

The body of an Ideal College student has been recovered after several hours of his going missing while bathing in a waterfall at Reicha area of Bandarban this morning.
 
The deceased named Tahsan, 19, was in the eleventh grade of the college. Tahsan, son of one Jannatul Baki, hails from the capital's Rampura area.

He was among the group of 132 students who reached Bandarban in a study tour on Tuesday morning.

"We went to a waterfall that is 10 kilometres away from Bandarban town. Tahsan went missing while bathing in the fall. His body was found later. Tahsan's body was taken to Bandarban Sadar Hospital, where doctor declared him dead," said fellow students of the deceased.

"Students were taken to a waterfall; the fall is very small. I do not know how Tahsan died while bathing," exclaimed Jahanging Alam, the principal of Ideal College, Dhaka.

"The dead body was kept in Bandarban Sadar Hospital. It will be handed over to Tahsan's family after autopsy," Officer-in-Charge of Bandarban Sadar police station Enamul Haq Bhuiyan said.
