Ministry urges expat workers to renew expiring passport

The Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment has urged all Bangladeshi workers who are planning to go abroad with passport validity less than six months to apply for passport renewal.
The decision was taken today based on an inter-ministerial meeting held at the Cabinet Division on Sunday that directed the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism not to issue air tickets if the validity of passports of employees going abroad is less than six months.
The decision has been made to make the journey of the expatriate workers risk free.
