Maulana Rafiqul remanded in explosives case

A court has granted one-day remand to religious speaker Maulana Rafiqul Islam Madani– also known as child preacher —in an explosives case.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Abdul Hai passed the order virtually on Wednesday noon after Kotwali Police Station investigating officer produced him before the court seeking 10-day remand.

Rafiqul Islam was arrested on 29 March from his home in Netrokona's Purbadhala in an explosives case filed with Mymensingh'sKotwali police station. Rafiqul Islam Madani is currently in Kashimpur jail in another case.
