Man identifies his uncle’s and aunt’s bodies from accident spot

Police Bureau of Investigation are identifying the bodies from their fingerprints

Like thousand others, Mohammad Shahadat also crowded to see the victims' bodies, who were killed on spot in collision between two intercity trains at Brahmanbaria's Kasba early today.

To his utter shock, he found his uncle's and aunt's bodies at the corridor of Bayek Government Primary School.

The deceased Mojibur Rahman, 50, and Kulsum, 43, were returning to their home in Chandpur by Udayan Express train, said Shahadat.  

Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet and Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita from Chattogram collided at Mondobhag Railway Station at around 3am, leaving 16 people dead and dozens injured.

Mojbur used to do business in Sreemangal of Sylhet, he added.

"Their son Kawsar called me to inform about the accident in the morning. Now after identifying the bodies, I could not inform them of my uncle's and aunt's death yet," said Shahdat.

Police Bureau of Investigation are identifying the bodies from their fingerprints.  

The other deceased are Al Amin, 35, son of Ayiub Hossain of Habiganj, Mohammad Yusuf, 35, son of Md Hasan of Anwarpur area, Sujon, 24, of Pirgaon area.
