Zahidul Islam, from Noakhali, a private service holder, has got a beautiful car (Toyota Aqua Hybrid) for only Tk1.

The unbelievable thing happened at the prize distribution ceremony of the eleven-eleven (11.11) campaign by Daraz, an online shopping store and also a concern of Alibaba.com (China).

"I cannot believe that I have got a car for only one taka, it's still a miracle for me," a surprised Zahidul said after receiving the prize.

On November 26, at the closing programme of the two-week long sales campaign, Daraz handed over the prize to Zahidul.

Zahidul won the prize playing a game, namely Tk1 game, which was part of the campaign starting on November 11. The second and third place winners in that game each received a 150cc bike.

During the campaign, Daraz customers have got opportunities to win prizes through different other games and competitions. The online marketplace has given prizes to 63 winners who took part in those events that day.

Besides, winners of those games got various attractive prizes including television, fridge, smartphone, air conditioner, micro oven and so on.

Daraz Marketing Head Abrar Hasnain said through this campaign we want to make all people, including rural ones, accustomed to ecommerce.

Beside this campaign, Daraz is going to launch another popular campaign – Fatafati Friday – scheduled to start from November 27 and continue till November 30. This campaign will provide several offers including a big discount.
