Police have detained a man for allegedly torturing his underage wife to death at Pekua upazila in Cox's Bazar.
The detainee Alamgir is locally known as a robber and accused in many cases. Rest of the accused in the incident are on the run.
The 14-year-old victim, Salma Begum's family claimed that her husband and in-laws persecuted her in a medieval manner for dowry.
