The Government of Bangladesh has appointed Major General Md Jahangir Al Mustahidur Rahman, psc as the new ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Lebanon.
He was commissioned in the Bangladesh Army on December 25, 1986. Since commissioning, Maj Gen Jahangir has been serving in various staff, instructional and command appointments at different levels.
He has served as managing director of the Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory Ltd and chairman of the Bangladesh Tea Board.
Maj Gen Jahangir attained Masters in Defence Studies from the National University. He is married and has three children.
