The loans will be disbursed through the Bangladesh Bar Council

The lawyers, facing a financial crisis amid the pandemic, will get long-term loans at low-interest rates.

Law Minister Anisul Huq said this on Sunday at a video conference while inaugurating the newly-constructed Faridpur Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Building, reads a press release.

"Many lawyers, especially the junior ones, have been deprived of legal practice for more than two and a half months amid the pandemic. They are having a financial crisis and a tough time now," the minister said.

"So, we are working on arranging long-term loans for them at low-interests. The loans will be disbursed through the Bangladesh Bar Council."
