On August 19, a bench of Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah ordered police to hand over the goods to RAB after hearing a petition filed by the elite force.

Ramu police have handed over 29 kinds of goods, including electronic devices, and money, which police seized from the room of Shipra Rani Debnath at Nilima Resorta in Himchhari area of Ramu upazila, to Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-15.

A RAB team led by Biman Chandra Karmakar, additional superintendent of RAB-15, received the goods from Ramu Police Station on Thursday night.

Biman Chandra Karmakar said 29 kinds of items, including laptop, mobile, hard disk and TK2 lakh, had been handed over to RAB following a court order.

"It will be informed later whether these devices have been used or not after investigation. No information will be kept hidden," he added.

Abul Khayer, officer-in-charge ((OC) of Ramu Police Station, was present at the time.

Shipra, Shahedul Islam Sifat and Tahsin Rifat Nur were staying at the resort with slain Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan to film a documentary.

Police arrested Shipra and Rifat from the resort after the murder of Major (retd) Sinha on August 31 and seized the goods.

On August 19, a bench of Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah ordered police to hand over the goods to RAB after hearing a petition filed by the elite force.

On August 20, police appealed to the court of Judicial Magistrate Helal Uddin to keep the seized goods in their custody.

But Judicial Magistrate Helal Uddin dismissed the police plea and upheld Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah's order.
