Langalbandh Bridge to remain closed 12-14 July

Vehicles may use lanes on one side of the bridge from 8 am to 10 pm on 12 July. Thereafter, all lanes will be closed till 12pm on 14 July. 

Vehicle movement across the Langalbandh bridge in the Dhaka – Chattogram highway will be suspended for repair work from 12 July to 14 July.

Vehicles may use lanes on one side of the bridge from 8 am to 10 pm on 12 July, reads a press release. 

Thereafter, no traffic of any kind will be allowed on the bridge till 12 noon on 14 July, according to the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry. 

Light vehicles have been asked to use the Mograpara-Kaikartek bridge and Nabiganj-Madanpur road as an alternate route. Heavy vehicles are to use the Kanchpur-Bhulta-Narshingdi-Bhairab bridge and the Sarail-Brahmanbaria-Cumilla road for the time that the Langalbandh bridge is being repaired. Two other bridges flanking the Langalbandh bridge are the Kanchpur and Meghna bridges.
