Khaleda Zia tests Covid negative

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has tested negative for Covid-19 after 26 days of being diagnosed with the disease.
She underwent test for the third time on Wednesday and the result came negative on Thursday morning, reports Kalerkantho.
The former prime minister has now been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital of the capital. She was diagnosed with the contagious virus on 10 April.
Initially, Khaleda Zia received treatment staying at her home in Gulshan. Later, she was taken to the hospital upon deterioration of her health condition.
Meanwhile, her family filed a written application to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal seeking permission to take her abroad for treatment on Wednesday night.
"Khaleda's younger brother Shamim Eskander came with an application at 8:30pm. We received it and will send to the law ministry for further decision following guideline," Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told media.
Later, Law Minister Anisul Huq said his ministry has accepted the application. The government will take a quick decision on the issue on humanitarian ground.
